2025 UCE Results Set for Friday Release

The 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination results will be officially released this Friday, following approval by the First Lady and Minister for Education and Sports, Mrs Janet Museveni.

The announcement comes after a high-level briefing at State House Nakasero, where the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) presented a detailed report on the performance of candidates to the minister. After reviewing the briefing, Mrs Museveni approved Friday as the official release date.

According to UNEB’s Principal Public Relations Officer, Jennifer Kalule-Musamba, all final arrangements have been completed, and the public will receive full details during the official release ceremony.

“It is true that UNEB briefed the minister on the performance of the 2025 UCE candidates, and she approved Friday as the day for the release. All details will be shared on that day,” she confirmed.

The 2025 UCE examinations attracted 432,159 registered candidates, representing a 12.1 percent increase compared to 2024. The examinations were conducted across 4,308 centres nationwide, beginning with candidate briefings on October 10.

Notably, this is the second year that UCE candidates have been assessed under Uganda’s Competency-Based Curriculum, which places greater emphasis on practical skills, critical thinking, and real-world application of knowledge. Education stakeholders are keenly awaiting the results, which are expected to provide further insight into the progress and impact of the new curriculum.
